PostSubject: VT aircon/demister help   Mon 21 Feb 2011, 10:34 am

Hi all, was hoping someone could help me, my vt air con and heaters wont blow from whichever setting/position i direct them to, it only comes out the demister vents, but the dial still is able to turn to the other settings.
Is the dial operated by a fuse, or is the dial or panel broken.
Thx

There is a vaccum line that runs from the back of the inlet manifold through the grommet around the heater hoses and to a assembly on the back of the dial. There are about 5 coloured lines that run off to the various different vaccum actuators that open and close the vents. There will be an air leak somewhere. They can be a pain to trace, hopefully the one of the back of inlet manifold has fallen off. Start there.

Tom

then unfortunately amanda its going to be a case of tracing the hoses until you find the leak.....had the same problem with my VT sedan took me a whole day to find the split in the hose and then replace it...
