Hey guys, I'm gonna hazard a guess that I'm the member from the furthest away, what with living in the UK, and yes, I really do have a Commodore over here!!!!! Shocked

I've got a VS Equipe wagon, 3.8L Ecotec, and it's not really stock, hasn't been for a long time now!! LOL If any of you are on Just Commodores or Street Commodores, you'll probably recognize the username and the car, but if not, here's a pic for y'all as he's currently sitting (yes, he, as he's called Bruce, because in England, we think all Australian guys are called Bruce Laughing )

It's still a work in progress, constantly doing more and more to him till I am eventually, one day, happy with him.

Heh, cheers mate. Yea, I get it loads, often people thinking it's a Vauxhall Carlton till they realize the size and see the front end, and had a couple of people think it was a Vauxhall Carlton with a Vauxhall Calibra front end grafted onto it Laughing

Everyone just looks at it though, it's big, it's loud, it's matt black, and it just demands presence on the roads!!!

If you wanna send some stickers over, I'll be more than happy to represent from over here Very Happy

As for how much it cost to get here, I have no idea as I'm 4th owner since it came over here about 10 years ago. The original owner over here DROVE it here from Australia!!!! Got a ferry to Asia, and then drove through Asia, through Europe, and got a ferry from France to England!! Luckily they did the drive with a load of spares in back, such as a spare windshield!! Most of the spares other than the glass have been used now though Sad

On the topic of stickers though, I do have these ones on it still Very Happy

Hahaa, I'm close to London, but not quite *that* close lol I'm sure I can get some photos from around the place with the stickers on show if y'all can send some over Smile

I've been looking at turbo kits for it actually, and really want one, but I need to replace the castor rods / radius rods and the bushes for the rods too as my front wheels are sitting too far back in the arches Sad Gotta get that sorted out first! Though I doubt I could afford a turbo kit though, I have no money at the moment after having to buy a new steering rack and have that shipped over as my old one snapped in half Sad Shipping big stuff like that from Aus is expensive.

I do get a few people try and race me though, they don't win unless it's a tight winding country road, and I have to take it steady purely due to the size of the VS Laughing

Yea, my mates who owned the VS before are always doing burnouts in it, I've yet to master the technique in mine Sad Ideally I need to find a car park I can play around in, but I just never get round to it. It's not made easy by the massive sub install in the trunk adding all that weight onto the rear wheels!

I know those wheels, and I think they're cool, but there's only 1 problem - believe it or not, there's a VX II that isn't too far from me that's on those wheels, and they're red!! It's bad enough not having the only Holden around, I can't then go matching wheels! Laughing

It's a her, but I've never seen it, only my mates have seen it once and that's it so obviously doesn't get driven very often. It's a sedan, and silver, so nothing like mine other than the badge and red wheels so that's cool Smile

Sweet!

If you don't want the red wheels you could always put some BMW wheels on it...

Maybe you and her should get to know each other. Wink

That is actually the coolest thing i've ever heard!! What's the modified car scene like over there? I'm sure you'd get plenty of attention in the matte black wagon, can't imagine too many vehicles of even remotely similar looks to that Wink Are the police lenient towards the car scene up there?

Cheers dude!!! The car scene is massive over here, probably one of the countries with the biggest scene for modified cars. Police are sometimes lenient but they can be a real pain in the ass too. Luckily I'm not too bad, but I have had problems in the past before.

Can't imagine too many vehicles similar to this? My last 2 cars were Laughing Why my mates kept saying that the Holden would suit me as it's a wagon and it's matt black haha

Still own this one, it's getting a Rover / Buick 3.5L V8

Hahaha that brings new definition to Volvo Driver! Razz

Good to hear the police are at least reasonable up there! Would certainly make something unique to utilize all those fin European parts you have access to! Would certainly make a commodore unlike any other Smile Loving the senator seats!

Should go get some Aston Martin stuff and somehow work out how to fix it on...Would make for the most amazing concept they'd ever see Razz Hahaha!

Hahaa, half the VS is European parts!! Laughing

My front coils broke, so needed replacement coils, and the best fitting things I could get were Volvo V70 rear springs and they fit in perfectly (with 1.5 coils chopped out Wink ) but the rubber seat doesn't fit on it, but ah well, just get a slightly stiffer ride on the front without them and the odd squeak here n there.

The rear coils, I wanted to get the back end up a bit more ready for the subs to go in, and to get a bit of rake, so they're Volvo 855 front springs Laughing

Front seats as you saw, are from a Vauxhall Senator, as is the leather cover on the base of the rear seats.

The cig lighter is out a Volvo 945 (I smoke like a chimney so needed one and my mates didn't know where the Holden one went)

I'm sure I could get more euro parts into it, but so far it's all been due to necessity than anything else, but it's definitely not a combination of parts you'll find again!

I *technically* drive through London every time I go down the road, I live on the outskirts of the Great London area, but been through the city itself a few times, once was doing a tunnel run with a load of scoobies and a Monaro which was awesome craic!!

You don't wanna come back here at the moment, country is in a right mess unfortunately Sad Guess you heard about all the riots that were round my way in London?

Those riots were nuts...I got a friend up there who lives in the Scotland Highlands, so he was lucky to be away from all the action (although he was keen on going into town to grab a few plasmas) and it sounds really hectic! At least it happened in the UK...I'm sure that if it happened here in Australia, it'd be the apocalypse as we know it! Twisted Evil
