Hey all

things have been very quiet in general not just on here or FB.

The club is very slowly dying out. Last meeting was cancelled due to lack of numbers and our last cruise even though it was 2 clubs only had 7 cars.
Getting very hard to motivate the committee to put any effort in (myself included) when it seems like we are wasting our time.

I have had very little time or internet access lately so thats why I have not been on for a while. Will try and fix that asap.

If this club has any chance of surviving we need members to show up at the meetings and provide some input into the club.

Our next meeting will be the 7th of August. The decision to have an August cruise and any future "club" events will be made at that meeting if there is enough interest.

Any suggestions into how we revitalise this club will be very welcome.

well i hope th club survives as i enjoy club events.. n cruises etc.. i think th younger members of th club could put more feedback into club as we r th future of th club... i for one will attend th meeting if i am in town n not away for work...

lets not let this club die as its my only outlet n others i am assuming.... to tlk bout cars n stuff.

I believe if we can get a working committee running and show members we what this club is still alive we need to start putting the clubs name out there again by having show n shine day at our sponsors so that they can see what we do, show n shines at METRO HOLDENS, Autobarn elizabeth, plaza holden this are some ideas we can ask other companys if it is ok to do stuff like this at there place's

i would hate for the club to fold if there is anything i can do to keep it going i will even if it only to take minutes until agm if required i don't go on many cruises on my own as i cant read and drive at same time and i have only missed one meeting this year and yes to get people more motivated is a growing concern but we can only try maybe when it gets warmer things will change

i agree with this but we also got to av th numbers to do it.. it in my eyes wont look goof if we have 3-4 cars on display.... lets band together pplz n kick some life back into this club...

I had suggested the idea of show & shine for a few of the club sponsors, at the last meeting I attended. defiantly down for that, would be good for a members drive for the club as well. But to make it work we need the members to turn out & support both the club & sponsor.

In regards to show n shines, I had spoken to sponsors regarding this and have not had a very positive response. Gaining sponsorship and sponsorship renewal has also become very difficult as the sponsors do not feel they are gaining anything for their sponsorship.

And as a former committee member who put in a lot of effort for quite sometime it becomes very disappointing and exhausting organising events, talking to sponsors and attending most events when it is always the same few members attending and such low attendance numbers.

the committee of this club do all they do at their own expense, i personally have spent a lot of money on petrol and telephone calls, which i did not mind doing, however when members arent attending these meetings, events, cruises or shopping at sponsors businesses then the job of the committee becomes very difficult and pointless.

I do not want to see the club fold, we as a family love being part of the club. yet having said that the club needs active members participating in events etc to survive.

I do agree with you Renee and that's why my mum & dad, Joan, Kim and myself are coming back to COCC and do everything with the club yes we have been to other clubs but we have all decided to come back to where we started and injoy the club and it's members.
