PostSubject: Volunteers required for clipsal   Sun 07 Feb 2010, 6:13 am

Ok everyone, this is really a first in best dressed deal. I am taking one of the spots but i'm happy to do whatever days suits anyone else. These guys are looking after several of the Holden teams ( hdt, walkinshaw etc) so its a great oppurtunity.

Please only put your name forward if you can definitely go. Sounds like it will be a fairly active role and will certainly be a long day so keep that in mind.

Please PM me if definitely interested

Thought I would keep everyone posted on how this is going. The guys we are working for are absolutely fantastic and really putting in the effort to make us feel like part of the team. We each got a shirt to wear, a second shirt for our days off, 4 day pass including paddock access and food and drink for all 4 days. The work is basically security for the store and for the drivers that come in for autograph sessions so you are on your feet for 12 hours + every day but that is the only downside.

Drivers we have met so far include
Craig Lowndes
Shane Van Gisbergen
Alex Davison
Fabian Coulthard
Andrew Thompson
Will Davison
Garth Tander

Here are some photos of the "office"

Outside

Inside

Some of the furniture
This TV is the only one in Australia. It works by displaying the image on a row of led's and then spinning really fast to generate the image ( doesnt photo real well but you get the idea ) It stands a meter tall and nearly a metre and a half in diameter but with a cost of 1/4 mill I'm not rushing out to buy one!!!!

This is a speed skater that took nearly 2 months to build. He is made primarily from car parts, the list of some of them is on the 3rd image

The "work" vehicles

Some of the "staff"

Some of the neighbours

One of the neighbours cars

Will be an even longer day tomorrow with 7am start and then staying till after skyshow etc so might put up some more pics on Sunday if I get a chance to take any
