| hey guys haven't replied for a while. since i last posted basically all that has happened is i bought 4 stockies with good tread for regency, i got the exhaust hooked up, and speedo done. i drove her around the block for a bit and she is amazing. so much fun to dive. i was doing about 40km/ph and i gave it about 50% throttle and the back wheels still span and the rear went sideways a little. im scared to see what it does at 100% throttle. anyway in terms of registration its not yet ready for regency. im leaving for uk in 6 days and i was going to see if i could leave it at kpm for 5 weeks while im away and get them to get it ready for regency. heres the list
General roadworthy Inspection and fix and non-roadworthy issues Replace or fix sump (can be provided if needed) Replace engine mounts (can be supplied if needed) Fix power steering leaks Fix or replace alternator (can be supplied if needed) Firmly attach battery and battery tray Mount charcoal canister Mount power steering reservoir Mount radiator overflow and washer bottle Wire up windscreen washers to washer bottle Properly attach windscreen wipers Secure down radiator with proper clips Split pins where required in front suspension (tie rod ends) Check over entire front a rear suspension Check over all brakes Check hand brake Check general engine condition Grease caps on wheels Neaten and secure fuel lines at diff Tape, attach and tidy engine wiring/power steering lines in between the battery and engine Attach gas struts to bonnet to hold up (provided) Add a temporary second muffler is thought to be too loud for roadworthy inspection Make sure rear demister is wired up and working. Make sure blower is working Tidy up and fix any wiring/cable/tubes/lines that you think should be secured Left side of car sits higher than right so check springs and shocks for problem/solution Use spray paint to cover up any custom fabrication that may not be regency legal ie. Wielded wagon shock mounts and cut gearbox cross member mount Make sure speedo is working | |
