Thought I would start this so I can keep people updated with my progress on the wagon. As most of you know I never stop thinking/working on the wagz.
Bits and pieces I have done but not taken photos. Have replaced front sway bar links and bushes with Nolathane ( some bushes were so worn I couldn't see the bit that was left)
Have replaced upper and lower trailing arms with heavy duty Nolathane replacements and fitted an Adjustable Rear panhard rod. Car now points where its supposed to and doesn't bounce all over the road when ya hit a bump. The lower trailing arms had been in the car so long I had to jack the car up as high as I could and use a 2m long extension on the socket wrench to get the bolts off.

Picked up the new rims today, took me ages to decide but I reckon these look ok

Rather than just mounting my alarm flashing light on the dash I decided to mount it behind one of those holden crystals. Looks awesome at night

Have taken the INNAV8 signs off the doors till I can work out a neater way to mount them.
Looks a bit cleaner I reckon. Have also installed SLE sliding locks all round

INNAV8 - my spot for updates Updates007

Have coloured a bit more red in the bay, Added a proper braided top radiator hose, anodised radiator cap and new fuel filter with braided line and anodised fittings and a filter style rocker cover breather.

Picked up a torn SLE roof lining in the blue velour for a dollar at Upullit. Used the material to redo the covers on the pillars, here is the before and after shots

That's coming along nice mate! Good work!

With the green roof liner, an easy way to change it is to just by the blue-ish vinyl die and paint it.

I see u started to tint ur windows.

Finally got round to bolting in my polished spark plug lead holders, much cleaner look than before. Still want to do some rerouting across the back of the bay at some stage but happy with the improvement.

Also picked up a cold air tray today but because of the braided top radiator hose and my thermo fan setup its gonna take some work to get it installed properly. Will be painted same colour as the car once its installed.

PostSubject: To Tray or not to Tray   INNAV8 - my spot for updates Icon_minitimeSun 03 May 2009, 8:04 am

Spent some time removing some old brackets out of the bay and smoothing some bits and pieces.
Also started working on the cold air tray. Will need to make some custom brackets to hold it because of thermos etc. Just wondering if this is covering up too much of the work that has been done to the engine? Will hopefully have engine out to redo the paint in the bay, on the donk and get rid of all the wiring including the battery.
Have not dressed or painted this properly but took some photos to get your thoughts. Should I proceed with the tray or leave it out???????

PostSubject: Battery Relocation   INNAV8 - my spot for updates Icon_minitimeSun 31 May 2009, 11:53 am

Well had a really good couple of days with the wagon. Managed to find some batteries big enough to handle the load from the car and run all the stereo equipment but small enough to fit in the spare wheel well. So have now ripped out the battery tray, run cables and mounted the first battery in the back. Just need to paint in the bay, make a compartment to keep the batteries separate from anything else in the back and tidy up/move some more wiring.

Massive thanks to George and Jason for coming down and doing the bog work where the tray used to be.

Will put up some more pics once its all finished. Amazing how much easier it is start the car with the bigger battery. Very happy with it so far.

Lookin good mate! Top job!

Ya know with the wiring hidden behind the metal cover, u could just drill a hole in the inner panel and run all the wiring up under the gaurd, and drill another hole going into the cabin. You could run all the wires through the radiator support panel, and yeah ya wouldn't see any wires or split tubing at all! Wink

Thats pretty much what i'm gonna do Danny, next time the motor comes out I will be extending all the looms so you cant see any wiring in the bay or going through the firewall. Give it that nice clean look.
