Thanks getting the starting point is the easy part it’s know when to stop that’s the hard part, need to make a cover for the box to neaten it all up and put in the new amp (a 2000w mono block) to finish it off then go into savings mode for a bit before spending more on it.

Just need to find time to put it all in now, this is all going on top of the system I already have but I will be removing the 1500mono block that will be going in the corsa...

Just a quick up date went to a sound comp today my highest reading was 137.8db (song not tone) might be able to crack 140db on tone with a few small changes see how it goes...

It was my first time in a sound comp they entered me in advanced class came 3rd with 137.8, 1st was 149.3? and 2nd was 139.9? There is always next time…

good effort mate keep it up.. were was the sound off...?

Thanks don’t think I’ll be adding much more to it just fiddle with the setting a bit, It was down at Seaford held at “Ampl Audio” it was a part of the SOSS (Sound Off Super Series)

oh ok cool... i never heard of that shop or the sound off series u mentioned... but i havent been into heavy sound systems for while now... lol add another 2 12inch subs lol then will b ear piercingly loud!!!! lol

I do have my old 1500w mono block and twin 12in subs and box sitting around at home…

I can’t tell you much about the store or the comp just found a link and followed it one day don’t know if I’ll go again see what happens and see what I’m am doing on the day.

oh ok.. put the other 2 12inch subs in too... then for sure u should make 150+ Dba....

I really just went to have a look at there cars and sound systems, I like to have a loud clear sounding system and the bass is just wow factor I’m not one of those people driving around a 3am going boom boom boom because they think that it makes the look cool. The main reason I got a db reading is because it sounds better to say I’m putting out 137db then to say it’s f***ing loud. I might wack the old subs and amp in one day for a comp for a laugh.

yeh thats true... keep up good work.. beats my system in th vl... clarion 4inch up front with pioneer 6x9's up back lol all run straight off the kenwood dvd player.. lol.. i dnt listen to loud music i prefer hear the engine..

Yer there are some days I don’t even turn on the system and as soon as there any form of tight twist roads it gest turned down in favour of engine noise still have not got a good exhaust on it but the air intake lets you know how hard your pushing it

Small update went to another sound comp I got 138.5db that got me second in class (there was only two in it anyway) and tenth on the night the best car on the night pulled 153.0db it was also a cruise at the end of the night we all tuned in to the same radio station for a bit of fun...youtube soss cruise

looked like a fun night...

Went to Ampl Audio to get a new sub box today it’s now making 143.4db at the front window were they take the reading for db comps and getting 157.4db in the port

thats some crazy bass my friend...
