Spent the weekend tinkering around on the cars and spotted dare I say ...... S U R F A C E R U S T ........ on the Commodore affraid It was underneath where the guard is bolted to the body just behind the front mud flap on the drivers side. I immediately started crying and after an hour or so I composed myself and stripped out the area and to my surprise found about 3 1/2 huge hand fulls of a nice damp sandy loam mixture which I think would support a small crop of alfalfa shoots or equivalent given the right amount of fertilzer. I cleaned the area out and sprayed fish oil and a coating of good old Rust Kill. I did the other side as well but only found 2 hand fulls and no surface rust.

Oh well better late than never and find perforated rust holes etc .

Cheers
Ron

My VK had it in the same spot. The bottom of the fender had surface rust on it. Pulled it off to find a rust hole behind it. Apart from around the front window seal, it was the only rust in the whole car if I remember correctly. It's good u found it now, instead of a few years down the track when there's a big hole there. Wink

he means if there is a big hole in the car it would also put a big hole in his pocket Danny
And the bit about the dogs is his wife breeds them, so he could sell some pups for cash

Ya get to know how his weird mind works after a while....its a scary place trust me lol
