Whose car ????

Am I getting older/younger or what ? Youngest is wanting her 1st car so we agree on manufacturer, Holden of course !!! then she says mmm Barinas are nice so we begin with the 1997 to 2000 era which included the 1.4 litre "Lambada" ie the one with the sun roof to the uneducated ! Well they only made 500 of these so slim pickings here and we only found 2 that were 1/2 average by Grandpa's standards. Anyway looking, looking ( like Con the fruiterer) and a very thankfull splash of dollars from my folks and my mother inlaw for their grand daughter to raise the anty and we are now looking and think we have found a 2002 SRi 1.8 litre buzz box in Victoria. The big challenge will be to teach her how to drive a manual but I figure if my Mum could get her license back in 1966 in an EH Special with 3 on the tree and basically has hardly ever drove since then, then there is hope for our daughter .

PS I am now on A.L. for 5 weeks so that I can rebuild our pergola well there go the $$$'s (again). Might just polish 3 cars instead LOL

Hey Ron I got lots of polishing here for you mate. 5 Engine covers on my 5litre lol

This one will be a chalenge as it has one of those boring all over engine covers and it's only 1/2 a V8 i.e. it's a 1.8 litre \ 4 LOL. One thing though who do we know that can repair gutter rashed mags as this has some scrapes on their painted finish and how much or is it easier to rub it back and paint yourself ??? We have booked 2 cheap red eye flights for Thursday so it looks like I'm commited now and so we'll be driving it home on the same day and teaching someone along the way.

OK time to catch up on the family front re car wise.... our youngest has finally traded this

1.8 litres of 90 kw fun, optioned with traction control (for me), sports suspension, cruze ctrl, power steering/windows/mirrors a/c bla bla bla. I reckon I should enter this as well in the Tanunda GM day !!!

Now to just stuff a vectra V6 in there...

Mmmmmm for me yes but for daughter nahhh, though it does have the Astra 1.8 litre which makes a big improvement over the standard 1.4 litre that is fitted to the other models.
