Could be up for a new Motor

Oil pump check came back with no visual problems, so they put a camera into the engine to check the camshaft bearings, to see if they had moved, but they too were ok....my mechanic spoke to Remac today and they had seen similar problems with the series 2 LS1's, seems the oil filter is part of the sump also and the sump has pickup and return lines....if you have any leaking sump or timing cover gaskets, tehn it sucks air also, starving the pickup and return lines.......they have had a 90% success rate with changing the oil pump, and renewing the sump and timing cover gaskets.....if this doesnt fix it, then it could be a replacement engine...unfortunately the extended warranty only covers engine repairs to a maximum of $2500......leaving me to find the other $3500 !!!!...fingers crossed

my gf brother knows th owner of enhanced automtive n said to me he could get me brand spankin new ls3 donk cammed n tuned for 9500 i think thats th corrct price give em a call he works late everyday week till like 9 clock i been told...

no worries buddy or call enhanced automotive ther located just off kings road next parafield airport n brad is the owner n got his own dyno too

Envuss, before you go ahead quoting prices, maybe YOU should call us and get a correct quote as the price you have quoted is incorrect!

A rough price is $7500.00 + Engine.....

Its a bit more than that mate, let me to you from experience. Closer to 12grand with a reluctor wheel change, wiring etc. (prices for parts changes regularly due to the dollar aswell)
