Hello all, 1st visit to here but not a good one im affraid. Can anybody tell me what the head gasket is like to do on a Electronic Ignition V6 ?. Just want to know if I should do it myself or get a specialist to do it. I am a competent person under the bonnet and have done several head gaskets on 4 cylinder cars but not a 6 Surprised).

Any help or instruction would be brilliant.

Hi Leighton, and welcome to the forum.

If you have any experience with v8 motors at all the v6 is pretty similiar.

Only parts to be wary of are making sure you are careful with the manifold gaskets getting them in the right position and lined up etc.

If you happen to be north of the city chuck me a pm and maybe we can organise for you to look at or borrow a repair manual for the v6's?
