Pazz – President
Bit of a disappointing show of members tonight, probably due to AC-DC show on. Cars guide have a new Holden page attached to their site. They want to have a permanent link on our website and will pay us $150 a year to do so. Real insurance have approached us to be a sponsor, Pazz sent info to them and we are waiting to hear back from them. Was going to say a huge thanks to Steve for his huge effort in signing up more sponsors but he’s not here so wont bother and he can get stuffed . There is a couple more prizes for participation points down on the table at the back so people can have a look. Will try to organise a few more prizes throughout the year. There is also a voting sheet for the VP, so we can decide what we can do with it. We will make a decision after the next meeting what is to be done with it. There is a SMASA newsletter down the back which has a write-up of our club in it. That edition was in every entrants bag for the SMASA show so they all now have a copy of the write up on our club Thank you to every one who came to the show, out of all the affiliated clubs we had the most cars entered.
Auzzie – Vice President
Just great to see the turnout to the SMASA show, and had a great day.
Secretary – Lea
Would have liked some lollies but we didn’t have any . Sign in book on the table down the back for people to sign in so we know who turned up and if we had any special guests. Also the suggestion box for any idea’s for the club such as cruises or what else we can do as a club. Also have some of Pazz’s commodore magazines to give away.
Kim - Treasurer
We are back over the $3000 mark in the bank. We had 10 new members sign up in the last month. There is a copy of the treasury report on the back table signed by both the president and vice president if any one wishes to see it. Lucky numbers 1st Pazz 2nd Ron. 2nd card - 1st Ron 2nd Greg.
Jason - Events
We had 16 cars out to the SMASA show, was a great turnout and day. Congratulations to Janice on getting 2nd in her category and to Millsy for his. Hope everybody had a great day and thanks to the members who didn’t have cars entered but showed up also. On the weekend just gone we had the Pt Augusta show which was a very long day. Thanks to those that put their cars in. Also to Margaret and Josh with his rent-a-crowd for attending. Judging was not the best as all judges were beginners. Up coming events we have March 6th quiz nite, March 27th Old Skool New Age, any entries must be filled in tonight to get the $20 entry fee, otherwise it will be $30 entry fee. Paintball has been cancelled due to overbooking and will now be held on the 28th March. Time will be 9am -1pm. Deposits to be in by end of this week.
Mark - Cruise
Last months night cruise was cancelled. Unfortunately mark was unable to be there due to pulling the ceiling down at home while Bailey was not there. The members that did turn up went onto villi’s and had a good chat there. Next cruise coming up is a day cruise on the 21st March. It will be a fairly long cruise with a BBQ and a melba’s stop. The BBQ will now be charged as a gold coin donation per person, you will get a stamp and can go up as many times as you like. Drinks will still be $1 per can. We also have lollies, chips and chocolates for sale.
Steve/Kim - Promotions
Steve has done an awesome job on getting sponsors. We now have Auto pro signed up. They will give us a discount on products. Hogs Breath Café have also signed up. They have given us $100 worth of vouchers, and they will also look after any club member that goes in for a meal. He also has appointments with Salisbury transmission on Thursday and Omega Trophies. Kim will go to Motorworks at Westlakes to speak to them about sponsorship.
Pazz – Website
Pazz is still working on it slowly.
Andy – Newsletter
Is not happy as he should be at AC-DC
Hope every one was happy with the newsletter. If anyone is interested he has a copy of every single Holden paint code from 1961-2004. If anyone wants a copy he will put it on disk.
General
Chris apologised for missing the SMASA show due to being unwell, as the club paid for her entry she will repay the club. Ray also couldn’t turn up on the day and has also repaid the club (committee say thanks to Ray and Chris for doing so) There is a SMASA cruise to Birdwood on the same day as GM day if any one is interested in going. It is $6-50 per car load covers entry into museum and BBQ. Alan has quit his yellow job and has gone back to his trade as a boiler maker. Andy said he works with an old boiler and comes home to an old boiler
