| That's coming along nice mate! Good work!
With the green roof liner, an easy way to change it is to just by the blue-ish vinyl die and paint it.
I see u started to tint ur windows. | |

| Finally got round to bolting in my polished spark plug lead holders, much cleaner look than before. Still want to do some rerouting across the back of the bay at some stage but happy with the improvement. Also picked up a cold air tray today but because of the braided top radiator hose and my thermo fan setup its gonna take some work to get it installed properly. Will be painted same colour as the car once its installed. cheers Pazz | |

| Subject: To Tray or not to Tray Sun 03 May 2009, 8:04 am | |
| Spent some time removing some old brackets out of the bay and smoothing some bits and pieces. Also started working on the cold air tray. Will need to make some custom brackets to hold it because of thermos etc. Just wondering if this is covering up too much of the work that has been done to the engine? Will hopefully have engine out to redo the paint in the bay, on the donk and get rid of all the wiring including the battery. Have not dressed or painted this properly but took some photos to get your thoughts. Should I proceed with the tray or leave it out??????? Cheers Pazz | |

| I agree with Andy as although the cover looks kool, it does cover all of your effort in getting that engine bay schmick ! | |

| Thanks for the responses guys, leaning towards leaving the tray out but will not make a final decision until the bay is fully cleaned up the way I want

| Sorry Pazz even though I like the trays. But lose it mate as it is covering all the work you have done on the engine. Shame they dont make clear trays |

| Subject: Battery Relocation Sun 31 May 2009, 11:53 am | |
| Well had a really good couple of days with the wagon. Managed to find some batteries big enough to handle the load from the car and run all the stereo equipment but small enough to fit in the spare wheel well. So have now ripped out the battery tray, run cables and mounted the first battery in the back. Just need to paint in the bay, make a compartment to keep the batteries separate from anything else in the back and tidy up/move some more wiring. Massive thanks to George and Jason for coming down and doing the bog work where the tray used to be. How the bay looked before I started The mess of cables from the battery to the car The wiring for the amp (inside tubing and behind metal cover) which will all be hidden and in the back of the car. Where the whole lot will be going The tray with the battery removed The mess left after the tray was removed. Another view after tray removal The battery frame installed and wiring completed at the back. With the battery installed Where the tray used to be, ready for sanding back and painting. Another view and once again thanks George and Jason Will put up some more pics once its all finished. Amazing how much easier it is start the car with the bigger battery. Very happy with it so far. cheers Pazz | |

| Lookin good mate! Top job! Ya know with the wiring hidden behind the metal cover, u could just drill a hole in the inner panel and run all the wiring up under the gaurd, and drill another hole going into the cabin. You could run all the wires through the radiator support panel, and yeah ya wouldn't see any wires or split tubing at all! | |

| Thats pretty much what i'm gonna do Danny, next time the motor comes out I will be extending all the looms so you cant see any wiring in the bay or going through the firewall. Give it that nice clean look.
